The Edelweiss Club of Grand Rapids, a German-American social club founded in 1980, puts on this two-day festival at Riverside Park on the city's north side. Imported German beer, German food, games, alphorns and live music fill both days, and the gate is free with programming aimed at children as well as adults. Proceeds go back to the club, and alcohol is sold via drink tickets to wristbanded guests 21 and over.
