Oktoberfest hosted by the Rotary Club of Minden

The Minden Rotary Club stages Carson Valley's Oktoberfest at Lampe Park in Gardnerville, a free afternoon under the Sierra front. A German band plays while vendors sell food, beer and crafts, and the contest list runs long: costume competitions for adults and children, stein holding for both men and women, keg tossing and barrel rolling, plus a kids' pretzel-eating race. A children's zone and a raffle round out the day.
