This German heritage society in Lake Villa opens its picnic grove, outdoor pavilion, tent and hall for Oktoberfest on three separate Saturday evenings at the end of September and start of October. Each night runs from early evening until close to midnight with live German bands, dancing, German food and beer, and a nine-dollar donation at the door. The society has been running the series for around 25 years.
