This free Friday block party closes Front Street in San Francisco's Financial District for an afternoon-into-night Oktoberfest hosted by the Downtown SF Partnership together with Schroeder's, the city's historic German restaurant. Three neighbouring bars pour more than seventy taps between them while Bavarian polka, yodeling and live bands play. Bratwurst, pretzels and other German street food are sold alongside stein-holding and non-alcoholic chugging contests. All ages are welcome, with ID required to drink.
