Rhode Island's German-American society opens its Pawtucket clubhouse for a two-day Oktoberfest built around a ceremonial Festbier keg tapping on Saturday afternoon. The Bavarian Brothers play the Main Bierhalle Saturday evening and again Sunday afternoon, and the SGTV Alpenblumen Schuhplattlers perform traditional dances several times across the weekend. Food comes from visiting vendors alongside the society's own German kitchen. Children twelve and under get in free; pets other than service animals are not permitted.
