The Village of Pentwater closes out its season with a daytime Oktoberfest built around the Stout Stumble 5K, which finishes on the Village Green with a beer for runners of legal age. The rest of the day fills the downtown with a classic car and hot rod show, a chili cook-off, a quilt show, a home tour, food vendors, live music and karaoke. It is a compact, community-run affair on this Lake Michigan resort village rather than a large-scale beer festival.
