Tampa's downtown Oktoberfest takes over Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on the Hillsborough River for a three-day run in its seventeenth year. Friday opens with a ceremonial keg tapping, and the weekend fills with German music, dancing and singing plus stein-hoisting and mustache contests. It is the largest downtown Oktoberfest on Florida's west coast and sits within walking distance of the Riverwalk.
