The German-American Society of Trenton opens its clubhouse grounds on Uncle Pete's Road for a three-day Oktoberfest, the club's biggest public weekend of the year. Each day brings a different lineup, mixing German brass and accordion acts with a Philadelphia string band and a rock cover band, and the G.T.V. Almrausch folk dancers perform across the whole weekend. German food and beer are served throughout, bounce houses keep children busy, and admission is kept low with a cheaper Friday-evening rate. Outside food and drink are not allowed on the grounds.
