Waterline Brewing throws Wilmington's Oktoberfest in its yard beneath the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, now in its eleventh year. A full Bavarian brass band plays while German-inspired food, fresh pretzels and local food trucks feed the crowd. Entry is free, with lawn games and Bavarian-tradition contests running through the afternoon and paid VIP seating available.
