The Boylston Schul-Verein, a German-American cultural club in Walpole, holds a three-day Oktoberfest on its own grounds each September. Several beer tents pour imports including Paulaner, Hacker-Pschorr and Weihenstephan while German bands such as Die Lustigen Almdudler and Die Schlauberger play, and the club serves traditional German food. Shooting and archery booths, a playground and children's activities make it a club festival aimed at families, and it is entirely pre-ticketed with shuttles from overflow parking.
