Ornery Beer Company's Oktoberfest runs on consecutive days at its two Northern Virginia properties, and this is the Saturday half at the Herndon brewpub. The kitchen switches to a German card - schweinshaxe, sauerbraten and sausages from a Baltimore German butcher - and a limited run of commemorative steins is sold, filled with the house Oktoberfest bier. Guests in lederhosen or a dirndl are entered in a gift-card drawing.
