Palatine Oktoberfest

The Rotary Club of Palatine runs a free three-day Oktoberfest in downtown Palatine, a short walk from the Metra station, with free parking as well. German bands play across all three days beside German and festival food from local restaurants and a beer, wine and seltzer service, and reserved tables can be booked with food and drink tickets pre-loaded. Saturday is designated Family Day, with a morning family bike ride and an afternoon block of children's programming - coloring stations, carnival games, face painting and balloon art. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome and the festival hosts dog adoptions.
