Portage's parks department throws a free afternoon Oktoberfest in South Westnedge Park as a fundraiser for the city's park system. Live music, a German dinner and German beer anchor it, with dancing and family games including barrel racing. There is no ticket and no registration; the money is raised through food and drink sales at the event.
