Rockville's recreation department runs a free, city-wide German celebration through the middle of a Saturday in Rockville Town Center, with two stages of live music and beer from local breweries. It draws several thousand people and keeps a children's area running alongside the beer, so it works as a family afternoon rather than a drinking event.
