Downshift Brewing's riverside taproom in Ruidoso turns over its indoor and outdoor stages for a single long Saturday of German-leaning food, craft beer and back-to-back bands. Contests run through the afternoon, including stein hoisting, a best-dressed King and Queen crowning, and a chicken dance. Now in its fifth year, it draws a mountain-town crowd from across southern New Mexico. Kids twelve and under get in free with an adult.
