Frontier Park on the Missouri River is rebuilt into a German village for three days each September, with food stalls, gift vendors and five stages of music. Now in its 40th year after starting as a small community gathering in 1986, it has grown into one of the region's larger fall festivals. Signature bits include a Wiener Dog Derby dachshund race, stein hoisting contests and a 5K/10K road race.
