Saline Main Street's Oktoberfest is the nonprofit's largest annual fundraiser, staged in the West Henry Street lot in downtown Saline over a Friday evening and a full Saturday. Friday opens with live music, the ceremonial tapping of the golden keg and the Bavarian Arm Burner stein-holding contest. Saturday adds Kinderplatz, a free children's area with a petting zoo, balloon twisting and bounce houses, followed by wiener dog races, Hammerspiel and live music once the biergarten opens at noon, with German pretzels and food-truck fare until close.
