Schell's Oktoberfest

August Schell Brewing throws its own Oktoberfest on the historic brewery grounds south of downtown New Ulm, a single Saturday running from late morning to early evening. Admission is ten dollars, kids get in free, and the grounds go cash-only once you are inside, with food and beverage coupons sold at the gate. The day mixes live music with bean bag toss, stein holding and a hammer-and-nail challenge alongside soft pretzels, brats, sauerkraut, apple turnovers and food trucks pouring Schell's award-winning Oktoberfest lager.
