Shawano Octoberfest

Shawano's downtown business district closes the 100 and 200 blocks of Main Street for a one-day Octoberfest each fall. More than fifty craft vendors set up along the street while food trucks and downtown restaurants serve German and other international dishes. Two polka bands split the day, and the farmers market runs alongside for part of the morning. Children's activities are staffed by the local library, 4-H and an early childhood partnership, and there is a free pumpkin giveaway.
