Sketchbook runs its Oktoberfest across both of its taprooms over a single weekend, pouring the Maerzen it brews for the occasion. Live music, stein hoisting and hammerschlagen competitions run alongside trivia, and food vendors bring pretzels, brats and trucks to the lots. The Skokie taproom adds pumpkin painting, which makes that side of the weekend workable with children.
