South Street Oktoberfest

Brauhaus Schmitz, Philadelphia's best-known German beer hall, closes down the block in front of its South Street home for a one-day street Oktoberfest, now in its eighteenth year. It runs from midday into the evening and admission to the street is free, with food and drink sold as you go. A paid VIP package adds the indoor Brauer Bund bier hall, reserved seating and a glass liter mug for those who want a seat out of the crowd.
