A three-day parish Oktoberfest held in the old parish parking lot in St. John, Indiana. A Hacker-Pschorr bier garten sits at the centre, with schnitzel and Bavarian pretzels from the kitchen and a run of German bands and folk dance groups across the weekend. Daytime brings face painting, pumpkin decorating and games for children, and screens go up for college and NFL football.
