Staten Island Oktoberfest

Staten Island's borough-wide Oktoberfest is run by the island's five Rotary clubs as a veterans' fundraiser, held on the wooded grounds of a Scout camp off Manor Road. It packs a single Saturday afternoon with bands, food stalls, local vendors and a midway of rides and carnival games, and closes with fireworks. Organisers say it has drawn more than 20,000 people from across the tri-state area since it began and raised over $200,000 for veterans in need.
