Otoe County's German settlement gets a three-day weekend on Main Street in downtown Syracuse each October. The character is more town-wide tournament than beer hall: volleyball, the Burgermeister Open golf tourney, cornhole, Hammerschlagen and Masskrugstemmen run alongside craft vendors and food trucks, with a car show on the Sunday. The chamber runs it as a family-friendly event.
