The Thirsty Pilgrim

The Plymouth Lions have run this waterfront Oktoberfest for seventeen years, with an oompah band, German food and beer in the open air beside Plymouth harbour. A children's area with face painting and games runs alongside the beer tent, which makes it unusually family-oriented for a charity beer festival. Proceeds go to local food pantries, soup kitchens and school scholarships.
