Free with paid options$50 advance / $55 day-of for beer tasting plus festival admission (21+); festival admission free without tasting. Free entry to the festival for non-tasting attendees of all ages; the tasting wristband is the only paid element.

Downtown Westport closes part of its centre for an afternoon Oktoberfest on Sigrid Schultz Plaza and Elm Street. More than twenty breweries pour over fifty beers for tasting-ticket holders, while anyone can wander in free to eat, shop the Elm Street vendors and watch a stein-holding contest hosted by a local TV weather anchor. Live music comes from One Bad Oyster, and there are crafts and activities aimed at children.
