One of the longest-running Oktoberfest seasons in the country, this mountain-resort festival fills the Big Bear Lake Convention Center for ten straight weekends from mid-September into November. Entertainment is imported: the house bands travel from Germany, and the bar pours German-brewed Oktoberfest beers alongside brats, pretzels and strudel. Contests and a rowdy indoor hall atmosphere carry each session, with Sunday afternoons pitched more toward families since kids twelve and under get in free.
