Christ the King Oktoberfest

A long-running parish festival at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Lexington that has been going for more than three decades and calls itself central Kentucky's premier fall festival. Two evenings on the cathedral grounds mix an Oktoberfest beer lineup and German plates such as bratwurst, potato salad and strudel with live bands, inflatables and games for children, and old-school parish booths including bingo, a cake wheel and raffle drawings. Entry is free and the event runs Friday evening into Saturday night.
