29th Annual Oaktoberfest

Live Oak Brewing, an Austin-area brewery known for its Czech- and German-style lagers, has run Oaktoberfest for nearly three decades at its Del Valle brewery. The eleven-hour day pairs Austin Polka Band sets with stein-hoisting heats that pay out in beer, and competitors sign up in the taproom on the day. Food comes from The Black Forest and three other trucks, while the Austin Flea brings local makers and vintage sellers onto the grounds. There is a bounce house for children and themed tattoos from a visiting artist.
