The SteelCraft shipping-container food hall on Long Beach Boulevard turns its courtyard over to a three-day Oktoberfest, free to walk into. Friday opens with polka and face painting, Saturday is the long day with a DJ, pop-up shops and the contest roster, and Sunday is a short family afternoon. Wiener dog races and stein-holding contests run on the Saturday, with best-dressed judging alongside. Bands booked include Hammerstein and West Coast Prost.
